Our process, practice and purpose

Xi’im Ek Balam (Green Corn Black Jaguar) recultivates indigenous cosmovisions to build cross cultural and cross tribal harmonious futures. 

We combine traditional cultural practices with contemporary art, Somatics, quantum physics, and mindfulness to co-actualize sustainable and abundant life ways for all beings.  

Our services include indigenous based arts research (knowledge building), curriculums for liberation (knowledge sharing), workshops to evolve the collective consciousness (capacity building), art production towards cultural reclamation (knowledge production, preservation and innovation) and group mentorship (culture shift).  

We apply a strategy of eco-social acupuncture, working with small groups in specific regions to activate large scale culture change. We primarily collaborate with communities in Abayala /Maiza (the Americas).
