Aleanu Imbert Matthee is a Dutch-born story teller, emotional healing coach and international peacemaker with a passion to serve the global majority. He spent a quarter century covering global affairs as a newspaper reporter and photo journalist based in Seattle, after which he was inspired to co-create an international aid effort to support, rehabilitate and re-integrate survivors of land mine accidents in Asia. 

After a decade of raising millions of dollars to mitigate the legacy of wars and building social enterprises in Southeast Asia and Afghanistan, he launched a new career as a personal healing coach steeped in Kashmiri Shaivism. He is also a certified mediator and and relationship and sexuality coach. 

Aleanu now facilitates one-on-one personal emotional healing sessions, men’s circles, mixed gender reharmonization workshops, conflict resolution and many other transformative containers.  He also continues his work as a storyteller and economic justice strategist in partnership wit Xi’im Ek Balam.
